    New Computer System Installation

    We are migrating to a new computer system on Tuesday 20 August 2019. In order to facilitate this change the information held on our current system will be ‘cut’ on Wednesday 14 August 2019, which will have the following impact on our services: Between 10 August 2019 and 19 August 2019 we will not be able to: • Send prescriptions via the electronic prescription service • Process routine referrals • Receive blood results electronically • Receive hospital letters, reports etc electronically • Register new patients Prescriptions - We will only be processing urgent prescriptions between 10 August and 19 August 2019, therefore we request that any prescriptions that are due to be submitted within this timeframe are submitted before Wednesday 7 August 2019 in order that they can be processed early. Online Services - Patients will lose access to online services and will need to register for the online services linked to our new system when invited to do so. Appointments - Patients will only be able to pre-book routine appointments up until 23 August 2019 and we will only have emergency appointments available on Tuesday 20 August 2019. Normal appointment availability will resume after 20 August 2019.

    CQC Rating

    We are obviously very disappointed with the CQC rating awarded to Lyndhurst Medical Centre following the CQC visit in February, but we would strongly recommend that you read the full report before judging our service. (Google ‘CQC Lyndhurst Road’) The full report contains many positive findings/comments about our Practice but these have been overshadowed by the fact that we were found to be ‘requires improvement’ in SAFE and WELL LED for the following reasons:

    New Telephone System

    We are having a new telephone system installed between 20 June and 21 June 2018. We anticipate that this new system will make it easier for patients to contact the surgery by telephone and be more informative for patients. There will be some unavoidable disruption during this period but we will work with our Supplier to keep this to a minimum. We would ask for your patience and understanding whilst this project is being completed.

    New GP joining Lyndhurst Medical Centre

    Dr Cressida Todd will be joining the Practice as a part-time Salaried GP from 4 June 2018 on a permanent basis. In line with Dr Todd joining there will be some changes to the distribution of patients and some GPs will be changing their working days: Patients registered with Dr Cameron will now be able to book routine appointments with Dr Cameron on a Monday and Tuesday and with Dr Todd on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Patients registered with Dr Lee will now be able to book routine appointments with Dr Morris on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and with Dr Lee on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Patients registered with Dr Anggiansah will also be able to book routine appointments with Dr Louise Santhanam on a Wednesday. Patients registered with Dr Patel will also be able to book routine appointments with Dr Louise Santhanam on a Thursday. We would ask for your patience and understanding whilst these changes are implemented.
